Paska is the Youth and Social Organisation Officer at the UNAIDS Regional office for Eastern and Southern Africa. He joined UNAIDS in 2010 in Geneva, Switzerland and worked there for two years after which he decided to take up an opportunity in the field as Youth Officer for UNAIDS in Eastern and Southern Africa based in Johannesburg, South Africa.
In the one year he has held this position he has brought about closer engagement between UNAIDS and young people through youth networks and youth organisations by providing a direct linkage. This has led to the creation of spaces for young people to contribute substantially to the UNAIDS vision of Getting to Zeroand more generally in the HIV response in the region.
Prior to joining UNAIDS Paska was working with Y’s Men International, a non-profit organisation with headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland as a youth intern. In this role Paska, who is passionate about working with young people, was also involved with youth mobilisation towards the ideals of Y’s Men International of volunteerism and service to mankind. He has volunteered for Y’s Men International for over 10 years working with young people as a youth leader in Kenya and East Africa.
